ARTEXIM is a public institution subordinated to the Ministry of
Culture and Religious, which functions according to Government’s
Decision 342/1990 and is financed from extra-budget incomes.
In frame of its updating activity, the target of ARTEXIM was
to apply the cultural program of the Ministry of Culture and Religious
and to continue the cultural politic of the institution, in accordance
with the European standards assigned by institution’s affiliation
to the International Federations and Associations in the field.
The artistic activity of ARTEXIM was carried on in the following
directions:
1.The organizing of prestigious performances in Bucharest and in
the country
- Pop Music International Festival “Bucharest”
– editions 1991,1992,1993, with participation of pop singers in
Europe, America and Asia
- “Golden Stag” Festival in Brasov –
participation in organizing all editions
- Extraordinary concerts with participation of Placido
Domingo( April 1994), Luciano Pavarotti (August 1999), Jose Carreras
(October 2000)
- Artistic management of artists and ensembles abroad:

- National Opera tour in Great Britain (autumn 1994)
whose top moment was the performance at Royal Albert Hall in London
( first tour in this country)
- National Opera tour in Japan ( May-June 1999) which included performances
in Tokyo( first tour in this country)
- National Opera participation in frame of well-known Festival in Athens
with “Oedipe “ performance, staged by Andrei Serban(1996)
– first performance of Enescu’s opera in Athens and in frame
of Dimitria Festival – Thesaloniki with “Aida” performance-
autumn 2003
- “Transilvania“ Philharmonic Orchestra – Cluj participation
in extraordinary concerts with Jose Carreras, Angela Gheorghiu and Roberto
Alagna in Spain (1999) as well as together with “Deep Purple”
Band in the important European tour of symphonic rock concerts –
September- November 2000
6. Young talents’ promotion abroad
- Supporting of participation in international competitions of many
young singers who later on became well known names of Romania’s
cultural profile, as messengers of Romanian art on important worldwide
stages: Ruxandra Donose, Roxana Stangaciu-Briban, Iulia Isaev, Marius
Brenciu, Ana Camelia Stefanescu, Celia Costea, Alexandru Tomescu, Irina
Ionescu, Alexandru Badea, Paul Basacopol, Mariana Colpos, Matei Varga,
Mara Dorin, Silvia Simionescu, Stefan Ignat and others.
In 1994, as a recognition of its entire activity, ARTEXIM was
the only Artist’s Management Agency in Romania granted
as full member of “Association Europenne des Agents Artistique”;
in 1996 it was co-opted in “International Artists Management
Association”. These affiliations lead to the continuos
increase of Agency’s prestige and to the acknowledgement of professionalism
proofed during years of activity. In the same time these successes oblige
ARTEXIM to keep the same high level of its activity.
Due to its seriousness and professional activity related to the organization
of “George Enescu” International Festival,
ARTEXIM was admitted as representative of this prestigious event
in European Festivals Association (1997). ARTEXIM
managed, in 1991, 1995, 1998, 2001, 2003 and 2005 editions, some of
the most important artistic ensembles and world performers.
ARTEXIM has a portfolio with more than eight hundred addresses
of worldwide performing arts centers with which has correspondence and
professional relationships.
ARTEXIM will definitely continue the management of individual
artists, on contractual basis, promoting in the same time young talents
who distinguished themselves during the several organized auditions
.
